After being graduated as an Engineer-physicist in Materials Science from National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, Moscow, Russia, Igor pursued his PhD studies at Institute for Superconducting & Electronic Materials (ISEM), University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia, working in the field of thin films. PhD research was focused on fabrication of thin films, their characterisation and modelling of their physical properties. Igor`s reseach work in the lab is a continuation of his PhD research.
Field of scientific interests: physics and material science of superconducting and magnetic materials, methods of deposition, patterning and characterisation of thin films and multilayers, modelling of physical processes
